North Byron Community Primary School will be an Independent Community School delivering mainstream curriculum outcomes using a combination of progressive educational theories, in particular Reggio Emilia, Montessori and some elements of Rudolph Steiner.  Education will be delivered drawing on other specific progressive educational theories including Integrated curriculum, Blooms Taxonomy, Educational Progressivism, Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Theory and Kolb’s Learning Styles.

The vision is to create an affordable, independent school that provides an alternative to pure Steiner, religiously oriented or mainstream primary schools in the wider Byron Shire and offers another primary school option for families living in the Northern suburbs of the Byron Shire including, Brunswick Heads, Ocean Shores and South Golden Beach in particular but not exclusively. It will provide a viable alternative to Steiner and Christian schools for families wishing to have an education model outside of the public system.
